4/25: Team Store Open for Suit and Cap Orders, deadline Fri. 5/4
The team swim suit and cap store online is open at http://www.elsmoreswim.com/index.php?tid=168
Swimmers that need to figure out their size (not baggy or loose) will be able to try on various sizes over undergarments or dry swim suits.
We will have a sizing kit available to help determine suit size before or after practice on the following days and times:
Fri. 4/27: 5:00 to 7:15 at Torrington branch
Mon. 4/30: 5:30 to 6:45 at Winsted branch
Tues. 5/1: 5:30 to 6:45 at Winsted branch
Wed. 5/2: 5:30 to 6:45 at Winsted branch
Thurs. 5/3: 5:00 to 6:15 at Torrington branch
Days may change depending on how many need to get sized.
Suit and cap orders can be done at the site above between now and Friday 5/4, when the store will be closed.
Please be sure to select "Deliver with Team Order" on check out.
You will not be charged for shipping. All orders will be shipped together and then distributed to the swimmers at practice.
Caps with names must be ordered in pairs.
Please be aware that GIRLS suits come in both youth and adult sizes. (26 Y is much smaller than 26, so just be aware when trying on and ordering.)
Our team needs 5-6 officials. All officiating in our league is done by volunteer parents who have taken a half day class.
In a typical meet there are at least three Level 2 officials and four Level 1 officials.
Recently our team has had limited numbers of officials requiring us to depend on the other teams to officiate even at home meets. Now it is your turn to step up. Being an official will give you the ongoing opportunity to:
- Better learn about and understand swimming which increases your enjoyment and gives you the opportunity to educate/help others in the sport
- Gives you a sense of pride knowing you are playing an extremely important role in the sport your kids love
- Be right on top of the action with a front row seat
So now is the time to step up and join the ranks of Lasers officials past, present and future.
Linked you will find more details about the certification clinics, information on how to register and a Record of Meet Experience that can be used to record the meets you have done or will be doing in the future (to move up to Level 2 now or later on).
