Dear Lasers Family,
Welcome to 2013 Lasers Spring/Summer Season. You can look forward to an exciting season filled with hard work, strong competition, and lots of fun. We are all looking forward to another great summer of teaching your children all the joys of the sport of swimming!
We are coming off our first Short Course Season together with numerous personal bests at our League Championships and great finishes at the YMCA New England Championships. I’m really excited for the summer season, because I know only better things are ahead for all of our swimmers.
The season starts April 15th. There will be a MANDATORY joint Swimmer/Parent Team Meeting held:
Monday, April 8th at 5:30pm and Wednesday, April 10th at 5:30pm at the Winsted YMCA Pool Gallery.
You MUST attend ONE of these meetings ; it is not necessary to attend both. At this meeting we will distribute and review the registration packets, in particular the schedule, the Athlete’s Code of Conduct information, the Parental Sportsmanship information, and the role of POST in support of the swimmers and this team. There will also be a question/answer period and we hope to address all of your questions and concerns.
POST (Parents of the Swim Team) Officers will also be there to introduce the POST group and its role. The first POST meeting will be held Thursday, April 25th at 5:30 pm at the Torrington YMCA Pool Gallery.
